Posted in Blog-Related on March 5th, 2003Every day more and more people learn about a tiny country on the shores of the Baltic Sea called Latvia. This weblog seeks to inform the public about the current events in the country.
Ever since its independence from the Soviet Union in 1991, Latvia sought to be a full member of New Europe. That is why it has been the Latvian government’s policy to become a member of the European Union. Latvia will have this chance in 2004 after Latvians will have their say in the national referendum in September 2003.
