	&lt;p&gt;Surely Latvian deputies do not have constituents.  They are voted in on a list system.  No Latvian citizen can say Mr A is my representative.  This is, I feel, one of the many problems with the Latvian political system &#8211; the people do not have their own representative.  It is said that a country gets the leader it deserves &#8211; and until Latvians become politically aware they deserve people like Kalv?tis.&lt;/p&gt;
