In Latvia’s town of Ropazi, remains of 87 Soviet soldiers who died in World War II were relocated to a different burial place, according to BNS. Of course, on hand were Russian Ambassador in Riga along with the local Reformed Communists.
In light of the recent events in Tallinn, one would expect Russia to recall its ambassador, to call Latvia “fascist” for moving the remains of the soldiers, and quit selling Latvian canned fish as it had done in the past.
But, I highly doubt we’ll hear anything about that.
Thanks a lot Aleks, your blog is great, full of information and I love the new design. I visit your blog regularly and always learn things about this country I fell in love with when I went there for the first time in 2004.
Go on !
Have a nice weeek-end,
