Having consulted with my esteemed Prime Minister, I’ve decided to promulgate the constitutional amendment recognizing marriage only between one man and one woman.
Yes, I know it does absolutely nothing, since there already is a law regarding such marriage in our country. No gays and lesbians are not going to take over our country. And no, this is not an acute problem in our society. But the boys and girls over at the Saeima worked so hard passing it through. They deserve it.
But hey, maybe this amendment will force our people be more tolerant and understanding.
Ah, whom am I kidding?!
